Graham worked with my Year 11 son for 5 months in the run up to his GCSE's as his mock results were poor. They covered GCSE Language and Literature, and it was the most motivated I had seen my son regarding English. Graham made the sesions engaging and interesting, targeted to the needs of my son. I am delighted that my son passed both his Literature and Language GCSE's and I credit Graham with the improvements my son made. Thankyou.

We only wished we had found Graham years ago, as we had looked for an English A-level tutor in Plymouth for some time. He managed to get our daughter's grade up from a D to a B in English at A-level in a matter of weeks just before her exams. If we had started tuition sooner, her grades would not have been compromised by her bad start in the first 18 months. She was left with a C in the end on results day, but even this would not have been possible had it not been for Graham. Our advice would be to take the recommendation, start private tuition as soon as possible and definitely before AS exams, let alone A2! Graham's teaching style worked so well for our daughter because he didn't pull any punches. The feedback he gave (and there was a lot) was constructive, and there was no focus on the nice things and what she was doing well (she'd had enough of that from school and it was getting her nowhere) but rather how she could do better. There was no time-wasting or chit-chat, the focus was on getting through the assignment each week. Having said that, he is also a very nice and approachable chap. Thoroughly recommend.

Graham has been absolutely fantastic for my daughter Sophie. She was not getting the required help from her teacher at school and, therefore, lacked confidence in her ability to cope with the GCSE English Language exam papers. She now understands the technique she needs to use and feels much more confident about taking her final exams in June 2014.
