I’m currently full for academic 24-25
I do have existing groups of 2/3/4 and fees would be significantly less
I am a qualified Maths teacher, have been teaching in Wales for over 10 years now. Currently I am teaching part-time at a college and also I am an external examiner.
I graduated with a Master in Engineering (1st class/Distinction) at Nottingham University.
During A-level, I achieved all grade As (before grade A* was introduced) in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Accounting.
I am passionate about teaching Mathematics and hope to help children/young adults/adults to learn Maths and achieve their full potential.
I know the GCSE/A-level syllabus inside out and have a deep understanding of GCSE/A-level Maths exam assessments and this is crucially important to help the learners achieve their best grades.
All my students have improved at least one/two grades with my support.
For the one hour session, you will have feedback after every lesson (in a tracking Excel's spreadsheet) and also short homework if needed. I set short homework and go through them in lesson and give feedback as I truly believe this is the best way to learn, to practise and reflect on what you have learnt.
I have up to date DBS and can show this to students in the first lesson.
In addition, first lesson is 50% free to compensate for your first tutor's fee.
I can build rapport with tutees quickly, identify the areas of learning that need to be improved and establish different methods/strategies to help learners study. I'm friendly, supportive and committed and will provide all the tailored resources needed for the learners.
Fees above are referring to tuition at my home or online. I do not travel sorry.
Online learning has been very effective as well and I can teach any exam boards (WJEC, Edexcel, AQA, Cambridge International, etc.)
I also can tutor in small groups.
Fees would be cheaper depending number of students.
Also my first name is Thu. It’s just the other way round in Vietnamese!
