Hadjar

I am Hadjar, currently in my final year studying Biomedical Science with pharmaceutical industry experience from my placement year at Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK). I have 15 A*- B in GCSE and 4 A* - B at A level. Being a Biomedical Science student enabled me to combine skills and knowledge in biology and medicine to develop my scientific knowledge. Next year I will be embarking on a medical degree at St.Georges, where I will graduate in 2024.

Tutoring Experience

I have supported over 100 students through tutoring, mentoring, and being a STEM ambassador. Through the support and instilling of motivation, I have witnessed young adults make formative life-changing decisions about their careers. I deliver multiple tutoring GCSE Science at my university on a weekly basis and have witnessed students' progression in grades and confidence. This brings me fulfilment as I am able to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities. Alongside this, as a Causeway Education mentor, I supported students develop competitive personal statements with many obtaining offers from Oxford, Cambridge and other Russel Group universities.

Tutoring Approach

I truly understand the value of tutoring, during my GCSE and A level period, I had to build my confidence to reach my predicted grades in a low attaining school. I was supported by individuals in my older years and mentors. I will strive to instill confidence in my students, so they reach their full potential.

I will work in partnership with the student to understand their individual strengths and weakness. Lessons will consist of interactive activities, quizzes and exam question practice.
