Hello! I am Hannah, a professional musician from Dorchester, Dorset. I recently finished my Master's at Oxford University specialising in cello performance and psychology in music. In spare time I love sewing and arranging music!

Private cello, flute and music theory tutor for two years. Assistant coach for National Children's Orchestra (Projects Orchestra). MSt and BA in Music from Oxford, top of year in performance. Coached students for Oxbridge interviews.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to teaching is all about striving for the best while always remaining positive. My best teachers in life have been unfailingly positive, yet have always coaxed more out of me. Nevertheless, I believe in hard work and perseverance and taking accountability for our own learning outside of the lesson. Importantly, all my lessons end with a smile on everyone's face! For academic lessons, I like to consult regularly with my pupils about where they feel they need support, as well as areas I believe their knowledge may have gaps. Even though curriculums are strongly adhered to for all academic learning, I always show my pupils how it can be seen in the "real world" - it makes a world of difference!
