I am an Energy Industry professional with over 25 years experience. I have also been tutoring students in Physics and Maths for over 20 years with many of my ex students now in senior management positions. Its always good to hear back from them, and surprisingly many still call me Mr Ali or Sir!

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring students in Physics and Maths to GCSE level for over 20 years. I successfully ran a weekend science supplementary school for students up to year 11, for over 15 years. This helped students not only improve their grades considerably, but also gave them a real interest in science, and its real world application.

Tutoring Approach

I take a collaborative approach to teaching, working with both parents and students to establish issues in subject knowledge, exam technique and confidence. The relaxed nature of the lessons helps students to have the confidence to share concerns and areas of focus. Having worked in industry, I relate the theory of physics to real life applications - makes it a lot more interesting!
