1st Year Mechatronics Engineering student at the University of Glasgow
Extremely passionate about Mathematics, as I have Achieved the best grades (97.5% Final Exam) in Higher Mathematics and (95% Final Exam ) Advanced Higher Mathematics in high school Including the fact that I was the valedictorian of 2023 for S6 for my high school with all STEM subjects AAA - AH AB - H (crash highers).
I am 2 times self-taught Advanced Higher Student for S5 and S6, for S5 I learned Mathematics and in S6 Mathematics of Mechanics, I self-studied independantly and gained an A for Mathematics of Mechanics
Received Gold Award in senior UKMT nationwide mathematics competition reaching the 2nd round and as well as getting a distinction In the senior kangaroo
Taught an individual Higher Maths 1 year early - In S4 and predicted A1
I am 2 times self taught Advanced Higher Student
Help the student understand the basic concept and build up the knowledge from there. from a mathematical standpoint, it is meaningless just to substitute numbers into an equation without knowing the purpose and meaning of the calculations themselves. With the knowledge of the basic concepts the student will be tasked to complete a set of questions increasing in difficulty until the student is stuck- at this point, refinement will begin with understanding the issues with the specific question and from learning from these mistakes the student will gradually be more competent in mathematics.
