Living in the UK, I am a former Curriculum Leader and Director of English but first and foremost, I am a teacher of English with expertise and a proven track record of outstanding results at iGCSE and GCSE. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, including 5 years as an Examiner for both English Language and English Literature. I work with students attending prestigious UK Independent schools including Repton and Denstone. I also work with students studying both A level English and English Literature.

Tutoring Experience

Working as an English teacher in the UK for over twenty years has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of curriculum demands at all ages.

I am experienced in supporting students to achieve a Grade 4 and above in GCSE English and English Literature. I am an experienced examiner for both GCSE English Literature and English Language and this has enabled me to support students to achieve and often exceed their predicted grade.

Tutoring Approach

I like to start with giving your child a baseline assessment to quickly establish their strengths and the areas that they need to improve. I then plan a bespoke package to support your child. I model answers and ensure your child is aware of exactly what is needed in each question and the assessment criteria that they need to hit.
