Helen was helpful and prepared for lessons. She quickly addresses weaknesses. She broke down topics by using visual math equipment so my daughter could easily understand concepts.
However we face substantial irregularity with lessons. Due to her heath conditions she has not been very punctual which I believe is important for progress.
Besides this concern I would recommend her as a math tutor.

For years my son struggled with ‘mainstream’ school, and with English in particular.

ADHD seems like the most likely explanation, but finding a definitive answer is illusive.

Helen really understands the issues at hand. In short order, she's put together a plan to get the most out of him, and - best of all - it’s working!

Having focussed one-to-one attention, as well as a teacher that ‘gets him’, is the right formula to finally start making progress after all those wasted years.

I’m incredibly relieved, as well as enormously grateful to Helen for her excellent work.

It is been a pleasure to see your son progress from struggling to concentrate for more than 15 mins to now being able to cope with 30 mins without a break. He has shown a real desire to learn and engages really well. What a difference in such a short space of time.

Helen has worked with my child for over a year now. She plans her lessons well and quickly picks up on areas of need. Helen looks at how to solve problems from a unique angle which is effective and has made a great difference. Helen has an insight into the challenges of school faced by children with social issues and has helped our child to find the language required to play collaboratively with other children.
