I am a qualified teacher with a BA (hons) in Primary Education with QTS and BA (hons) in Modern Language Studies (French and Spanish). I have Masters in Translation from the Open University. I hold a TEFL qualification. I have studied German and Italian to A Level. I live near Shrewsbury and am willing to travel to meet and teach potential students. I will also teach online using various online platforms.
I am a Charter Linguist (CL) a member (MIL) of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught in Independent and Mainstream Primary Schools. I have experience teaching the National Curriculum from EYFS to Year 6. I have substantial experience teaching MFL, in particular French and Spanish to children from 2 to 11 years in schools, in language clubs and on a one-to one basis. I have also tutored students up to A level in French and to GCSE in Spanish. I have experience of teaching adults of all levels in French, Spanish, German and Italian. I have substantial experience teaching online, via various platforms.

Tutoring Approach

I personalise the tutoring to the needs of the tutee. I would make an assessment and tailor my tutoring to their wishes and requirements. With MFL I make tutoring interactive with a lot of listening and speaking but it is important to know and understand the written language too. I will teach to the syllabus of particualr exam boards. I will adapt my tutoring to the age of the tutees.
