I am an experienced Maths tutor and enjoy helping people learn, with a friendly, encouraging and calm manner. I completely understand how difficult it can be to get tailored help in Maths when students get stuck at school.

Tutoring Experience

I have over twenty years experience of teaching and tutoring at both Primary level and Key Stage 3/GCSE level as a Maths tutor. I am also a Maths Specialist Primary teacher and have spent some of my time at work training teachers in Maths.

Tutoring Approach

I offer tutoring in a quiet, homely environment, following the appropriate syllabus and providing resources for additional help. I am always at the end of the phone if something comes up that needs clarifying. During initial lessons I work hard to build confidence in Maths. I also use one-to-one sessions to address specific topics arising from lessons at school as well as improving exam technique skills. I make sure all sessions are enjoyable, active and have a clear aim which leads to much improved confidence in all areas of Maths for my students. I have availability on a Monday and Wednesday
