I studied modern foreign languages at Oxford University and I am fluent in French, Spanish and Italian. As my degree required extensive analysis of literature, as well as weekly essays, I am able to help students with English at all levels. I am also able to help with entrance exam and interview prep. for Oxbridge.

I run individual and group tutoring sessions for all ages and I am very patient, friendly and organised. It can be daunting trying to speak another language, but everyone has to start somewhere! I help students feel as relaxed as possible. I enjoy working with children as well as adults.

I currently work in the City with European clients and see tutoring as a very rewarding, stimulating way to spend my free time.

Tutoring Experience

I have been working as a tutor in London for two years following graduation from Univeristy. I have taught French, Spanish, Italian and English to students of all ages, from primary school to adult.

Tutoring Approach

I like to adapt my teaching to the preferences of the student. I like to make the lessons as interesting as possible, introducing students to interesting cultural aspects, or inviting discussion on an article or literature. Depending on the lesson and ability, I also prepare extensive worksheets which explain and then allow for practice of, for example, grammar. I am very patient and never mind taking the time to explain complicated concepts several times over.
