I have a passion for teaching, with a very patient, kind and understanding way with children. I have children of my own and work from home. I feel a fun approach to learning is key for children. I'm experienced inventing small games to engage children in learning new skills building their confidence to transfer their new skill to school work and feel confident in the classroom. I take great pride in my work and always put 100% into helping each and every child that I teach.
I have worked in education settings for 20+ years teaching full classes and one to one support. I have years of experience working with children to raise achievement levels and build confidence. I have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and the EYFS including government Literacy and Numeracy strategies. I have been observed by OFFSTED inspectors who quoted my teaching as outstanding including senior Leadership Members classing my mathematics class and other sessions as outstanding. I have a great knowledge of phonics which plays a huge part in early education. I have a BA Honours Degree in Early Years Care and Education.

I'm open to teach children from 3 years to junior age depending on the needs of each child. Sessions are 1:1 ratio giving each child space and freedom to grow confident in learning. Lessons are taught with an element of fun and tailored around each individual and what they need to focus on. There is also a reward system for good work where each child will receive a prize for great work at the end of each session.
I offer virtual and in person tutoring, having the benefit of a tutoring room with, computer access, white boards and lots of educational apparatus in my home.
