I graduated from the University of Bristol with an Honours Degree in Mathematics and have spent the past 11 years deeply immersed in the subject. During my school years, I had a natural aptitude for the subject, achieving top grades at both Higher and Advanced Higher levels. My passion for mathematics, combined with years of teaching experience, enables me to support students in developing their skills and confidence in the subject.
I have been a Maths teacher for 9 years and have tutored over 100 students aged 13–18 during this time. I take pride in creating bespoke plans tailored to each student's individual needs, ensuring they not only meet but exceed their targets. I am deeply committed to investing my time and effort into helping every student go above and beyond, using a wide range of teaching techniques to ensure they grasp each topic with confidence and a thorough understanding.
My approach begins with identifying each student's weaknesses and addressing them methodically. I believe mathematics is like a building block: without a strong foundation, it becomes challenging to build upon. I focus on closing any gaps in understanding, ensuring that students have a solid base to progress confidently. To reinforce learning, I provide regular homework tailored to their needs, allowing concepts to take root and gaps to be fully addressed.
My goal is to help students not only improve but to develop a genuine enjoyment of maths. Within just one or two months, my students consistently find the subject easier and more accessible, transforming their perspective and building their confidence. I am dedicated to ensuring that every student not only achieves their goals but surpasses them.
