You've asked for feedback.
Rob seems confident his grades can improve with you. Hopefully you have a clear structure how this can be acheived. Will Rob re sit all 6 papers and will you be giving him work and marking it? How will you improve his ability to answer exam questions better? I'd appreciate feedback to know if Rob is understanding what you're asking of him. He'll have a lesson a week in a couple of months, we've just got a lot on at the moment

Ian has made learning A/L Economics more enjoyable for my daughter. Ian is punctual, thorough and provides helpful resources to support learning. My daughter has high expectations and Ian certainly meets them. I would recommend him for tutoring A/L Economics.

My son did not feel confident with Ian but that does not mean he is a bad teach just didn't click.

I waited until I got my son's year 12 exam results to make these comments. Whilst he "could do better" his grade was markedly improved.
I am very happy with Ian's tutoring. He only had a few on line lessons with Toby and the most important issue is not just the information discussed but rather that he was able to spark an interest in the subject in my son. The use of current examples and a broad knowledge of even South Korean economics was key.
I will be requesting regular further lessons next year.

Needed some last second revision and Ian had given me just the right help. I feel much more confident with my exam technique and believe the sessions with Ian were very helpful.

Ian is clear in his communication and provides honest and constructive feedback, which my son appreciates. As a result his confidence is improving as he moves towards his A Level exams.

Ian is an excellent tutor. He improved my son grades in Year 12 from B to A and now working towards A*. He has an excellent ability to baseline the student level of understanding and thereafter put a plan of improvement based on student needs. His key skills are to improve the understanding of basics/fundaments of the subject, so the student not only understand the subject but enjoys it as well as a subject. He also prepare the student from exam point of view as he has year of experience in exam boards. He does this by letting the student do exam papers from pervious year, thereafter give valuable feedback and ways to improve it. He also has lot of resources in terms of study material, exam papers which helps quiet a lot. Ian has helped in improving my son from B to A a grade in a year and now working towards A* Ian is highly recommended!.

I booked Ian's tuition for my niece. She has made good progress in Economics since she started the lessons with Ian. Ian is a responsible tutor, who can explain the terms in detail with good examples to help her to understand. Ian has helped her to understand the logic behind knowledge and master essay structure.

I am really happy that we got Ian to teach my daughter A level economics.
WE have only had few lessons with him but from the experience so far I can say that he is a great teacher and explains the subject with scenarios so she is understanding it much better.

My son is of few words but I believe his working relationship with Ian is good. He did brilliantly in his end of year 13 exam which was a fantastic surprise so proof is in the pudding!

My daughter was worried after getting a low mark in her mocks in Economics. I saw the advert for first tutors and Ian had good feedbacks. My daughter has been having weekly tutorial with Ian and she said she understands the subject much better and is more confident in her approach to the subject. My 17 year old son has found the Business Studies A level tuition with Ian extremely helpful in identifying exactly how to improve his grades; they work through papers together and then analyse completed homework . Ian has been very encouraging and motivating - my son enjoys the sessions.

Ian has been tutoring our son who is currently studying Economics at A Level in the Lower Sixth. After an initial discussion with him over zoom we established the areas to focus on and left Ian to focus on the areas where extra support was required. Our son had received a grade of D in April 2021 in an earlier exam so we were naturally concerned.

Over the last 2 months, we engaged with Ian on a weekly lesson. Our son has now sat his Economics end of year exams which determine his expected grades for University. I am pleased to say that our son achieved an A in his exam this month ( June ) and is now predicted an A* for his final exams next year.

Ian's knowledge has proven to be exceptional and our son also gives him the 'thumbs up'

Ian has helped my daughter push her expectations and hopes for improving her A level grade beyond her original aspirations! She is more confident, knowledgeable, has a far better understanding of economics and now believes in her own ability to succeed in her A level economics exams.
