Ian's Feedback

Ian's long experience with mathematics combined with his passion for teaching maths, he was able to explain difficult maths concepts, which I never thought I'll be able to understand, in step-by-step simple terms which I found very helpful.

Ian, not only specified his teaching style for the exam board I was on but he also tailored the teaching for my own learning style which is something I find very important. Through this, Ian embraces the fact that no one student learns the same way. This was something a conventional classroom wasn't able to provide me.

Ian was excellent in providing me with a bespoke learning experience which I found very helpful in progressing in maths to lead to potentially achieving a good grade. For this reason, I feel very privileged to have met Ian and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to improve their mathematic skill.

Ian arranged a call prior to the session to understand what support is needed. The session itself worked very well. Ian individualised the session for my daughter. He was proactive and good at delivering the session.

I can not fault Ian on putting my daughter at ease at her first tuition, he had a very calm approach to mathematics which can be a very challenging subject for some pupils. Ian has excellent communication skills and is very reliable.

As an independent candidate studying for the Maths A-level, learning with Ian has been invaluable. I always came away from lessons feeling more confident in my understanding of the given topic and picked up lots of useful ways of thinking about and approaching the subject matter. Ian was also very good at setting the pace for learning so that enough but not too much time was spent on each topic. A pleasure to learn with.

My son has received help from Ian for his A level maths, taken outside school and I cannot recommend him enough. My son is enjoying his maths, comes back from his tutorials enthused about the subject and says that they cover 'huge quantities of maths,' during his hour-long tutorial.

We are very pleased with Ian's tutoring of our son. Rather than ploughing straight into the subject matter, Ian first reviewed our son's strengths and weaknesses in A'level maths, and focused on one or two areas where improvements could be made, including with exam technique. Could not have been more helpful.

Moreover, Ian's manner and interaction in the tutoring was very personable.

I found Ian after much searching for an A level Maths tutor for my son. Ian has been exremely helpful and has given good feedback. My son is growing in confidence and enjoys his tutorials. The mock exams in January will (hopefully) confirm the progress. Thank you Ian.
