I have taught Physics at all levels for 20 years, in state comprehensive, grammar and private schools and I have been an examiner for AQA for many years. I am familiar with all exam boards including AQA, EDEXCEL, EDUQAS and OCR, at both GCSE and A-level. I have tutored students successfully throughout this time. Currently, I am not a full-time teacher, but remain working within the EDUCATION Sector where I continue to aid students in their studies. I continue as an Examiner for AQA.
As well as being a secondary school teacher of Physics I have also offered individual and group tuition to students who are finding Physics a challenge, both in person and online. I have taught the AQA GCSE and A level specifications, so I have considerable experience of the intricacies of this exam board. I have also taught the EDEXCEL exam board specification and I have tutored several students in this specification and both the OCR and EDUQAS specifications, including the rather more demanding OCR B.
I have been able to assist many students over the years to improve their grades, some by many levels. I achieve this by breaking down the concepts with simple descri ptions and models and by insisting on regular practice using past paper questions.
20 years Physics teacher at all levels
Examiner for AQA for 10 years
Physics tutor at GCSE and A-level for 15 years
My approach is to revisit topics that students find challenging, covering the concepts in detail, followed by plenty of exam practise questions to test the students understanding and help them develop sound exam technique. I can tach in person, online or a mixture of both. I aim to be flexible with days and times according to needs.
