Hello there! Ciao! I was born and raised in Italy (Marche), but I have been living in the UK for 8 years now. I have always been passionate about languages and learning about different cultures. Also, I love teaching Italian and implementing new ways to help my students succeed. My main goal is to enable my students to reach their full potential while having fun along the way.
After graduating from the University of Macerata with a degree in Foreign Languages and Cultures, I moved to the UK and had different jobs. I worked as a customer service advisor, waitress, translator and public service interpreter. I now work as an English and Italian teacher.
I have experience teaching both online and in-person. I specialise in lessons for adults/young adults and teenagers from beginner to advanced level. I have been working as a teacher for over 5 years now in a variety of settings: community centres, one-to-one in person lessons, online lessons... I also prepared ad hoc activities for culture events for the Dante Alighieri Society in Liverpool and in-person group classes. I am more than happy to tailor make all my lessons to suit the student's needs and interests (e.g. preparation for GCSE, work, travel, university...).
My aim is to create a relaxed environment where the student can feel as comfortable as possible. You're welcome to ask me questions or ask me to reformulate. I take constructive feedback from the students on board, as I do believe teaching is a two-way process. I am happy to adapt and customise our lessons based on your level and interests. Also, I can give you tips on resources, homework and I'll help work on your mistakes. I take inspiration from several different approaches with a preference for the communicative approach.
