I am from London and 23 years old.
I have graduated at the Edinburgh University with a 2:1 BSc degree in Geography. This year I have completed a masters degree in environmental data science and machine learning at Imperial college London.
I have been tutoring as a part time job, during my time at university so I have five years experience as a tutor. I have been a tutor in Scotland and England so I am familiar with the Scottish National 5 and Highers exams as well as the English school system and exam boards, AQA and Edexel.
Due to teaching being my passion I have taken part in other forms or teaching for example, two years ago I took part in a mentoring scheme that mentors high school students who are planning on studying environmental sciences at university what University education is like.
This year, I took part in a women in STEM program where I created a workshop about using code and computer science to solve data science problems. I taught this workshop to girls from different high schools in Nigeria, to help expose young women to the opportunities in computer science that are subjects traditionally dominated by men.
Most of the Students I get want help in passing and preparing for their National 5s or GCSEs, since I know the exams really well, I can tailor the learning to cover the topics that will come up on the exam as well as help with exam and revision technique too.
Depending on what the student wants help with I can go through parts of the subject the student finds challenging, or if the student is worried that they haven't been taught all the topics I can go through whole topics with a student and cover every thing that could come up on the exam.
