Hello! I’m originally from China and currently based in London, working as an accountant. I moved to the UK four years ago for my undergraduate studies and graduated last year. I’m an easy-going, friendly, and talkative person who loves meeting new people, embracing different cultures, and continuously learning from others. As someone who has experienced language learning from both sides, I truly understand the challenges and joys that come with mastering a new language—especially Mandarin!

Tutoring Experience

I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn. During my first year of university, I worked as an English tutor with one of China’s largest language education organisations, where I helped students improve their speaking and writing skills to achieve a 7+ in the IELTS exam.

Later on, I became a peer tutor for the Data Analytics module in my university programme. That role helped me develop a strong sense of how to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently, and to support students based on their individual needs. These experiences gave me the confidence and skills I now bring into Mandarin tutoring.

Tutoring Approach

My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive, and fun learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing and making mistakes—which is key to language learning! I adapt each lesson based on your goals, whether it's improving conversational Mandarin, preparing for exams, or learning more about Chinese culture and customs.

I offer both online and in-person lessons (depending on your preference), and I’m always flexible in my teaching style. My easy-going nature, combined with a responsible and empathetic approach, helps me build strong relationships with my students. I look forward to helping you reach your Mandarin goals!
