As a current medical student in England, I have a fresh and comprehensive understanding of the English education system and national exams. Having recently navigated these assessments myself, I am aware of effective techniques and resources for success. I also understand the critical role that engaging teaching plays in enhancing a student's understanding. Therefore, my goal as a tutor is to create an enjoyable and effective learning experience, ensuring my students not only achieve academic success but also enjoy the learning process.

Tutoring Experience

During Sixth Form, I participated in a Science and Maths tutoring program at my school, where I worked with students of varying ages and abilities to help them achieve their academic goals. Through this experience, I gathered a collection of effective and engaging online resources for student learning. Additionally, at university, I volunteer with a charity that visits primary schools to teach students about Healthcare, Science, and Medicine. These opportunities have honed my ability to convey complex information, such as GCSE content, in an accessible and beneficial manner, ensuring that students gain the most from their lessons.

Tutoring Approach

In my tutoring sessions, we will begin by identifying the areas where the student needs support, whether it's a specific homework task or a broader subject area. Together, we will work through various activities to develop their knowledge in these areas. I will ensure that any resources we use are relevant and aligned with the student's exam board specifications. If the student is preparing for specific exams, like GCSEs, we will also focus on exam techniques, which many students find challenging. Additionally, over multiple sessions, I will revisit the student's previous areas of weakness and provide suitable activities to ensure they have fully understood and mastered the content.
