I am a Master's student at King's College London, studying Modern Literature and Culture. Having previously attained a BA (Hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick, helping others in the field of humanities is my strong point. I have recently been accepted by Curtis Brown to help me write my first non-fiction novel to be published. I also have the intention of doing a PhD in English Literature in 2023 at a Russell Group university. I have extensive experience in the UK as a tutor of English Literature, English, essay writing, academic writing and creative writing.
I am well-qualified as an online tutor having provided 1-1 sessions with GCSE and A Level students over the past year. I am very familiar with the AQA, IGCSE, OCR, and Edexcel syllabus, for example, and aim to help students feel confident when it comes to knowing how they might approach the English Literature paper come exam day. I am passionate about helping students of all abilities to develop a thorough grasp of their studies. Each tuition session can be tailored to the student's specific need - together we can work to build an approach that will suit the student's ability. I want to ensure that students gain structured guidance and feel ready for their exams.
I have also worked as an academic helper at my primary school. I worked with children between the ages of 3-7 to get used to being in the classroom and assisting with extracurricular activities.
As a freelance writer, I am constantly developing my craft. I have also worked as a writer for The Tab and was appointed as the Editor in Chief for the Warwick Tab as a student at the University. My journalism on mental health has featured in the BBC. I am passionate about using my voice to encourage the conversation around mental health.
I am a friendly, professional tutor. I use a variety of approaches depending on the students requirements. This may include visual learning or auditory learning.
