I am a recent graduate from the University of Surrey, having achieved Upper Second Class Honours in Modern Languages: French and Spanish. Having grown up in a multilingual family, I have always enjoyed learning languages, which is why I chose to pursue this at university. I would like to continue using my language skills and give back to the community by empowering students through education. My patience, approachability, and excellent communication skills are qualities that I would bring to my lessons and build a strong student-teacher rapport. I am confident that I will contribute to the academic growth of students.
I have studied Spanish and French in great detail, particularly during my Professional Training Year abroad, where I studied at a university in Spain and then worked an office job in Paris, France. Having fully immersed myself in these languages, I believe that I can do my utmost best to recreate authentic learning experiences for students on this platform through my dedication, subject knowledge, and strong communication skills.
I will tailor lessons towards individual learning styles to ensure that each one of my students has the opportunity to grasp the material in a way that resonates with them, in order to also encourage a growth mindset that will inspire them to connect with their learning. Furthermore, modern technology offers valuable resources for learning, such as educational platforms and multimedia resources which I will utilise efficiently in my teaching, and these creative interactive learning experiences will help my students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
