I am currently studying geography as an undergraduate at Cambridge University after receiving all A*s in my A-levels and GCSEs - with several full mark results and receiving top in my year group at school in both my geography and history A levels.

Tutoring Approach

Students often feel they are falling behind their studies because it is impossible for a teacher to ensure that every single student is taught to their unique learning style; it is never because of a lack of ability. My approach to tutoring is to begin by discovering the pupil's weak points, whether this is exam technique, time- management, or poor understanding of the topic. This will then allow for their tutoring sessions to be as efficient and personalised as possible. I often find that exam practice and highly specified feedback, especially for essay-based subjects, is the best way to tackle any problems. I also strongly believe in discussion and enjoyment in studying, a pupil that is able to engage in conversation, or even joke within a topic, is a student with a strong understanding.
