I'm an artist and educator with experience teaching at secondary level in London schools. Currently I am an acting tutor at a drama school, and private tutor in humanities subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I hold a distinction in British & European Studies from the University of Oxford. This inter-disciplinary humanities course engaged classical rhetoric, politics, philosophy, history and literature in an environement demanding the most rigorous standards of critical thinking, argumentation, and essay technique. I hold a further Master of Letters Degree from the University of Glasgow and have many years teaching and tutoring experience as leader of KS2+3 literacy in a London school, and as a communications and performance coach.

I am particularly skilled at working with those students who are falling behind or struggling to engage in the classroom, as well as in supporting students with the very highest levels of ability in the process of reaching top grades and advanced understanding.

Tutoring Approach

My approach focusses on the individual's role in their own learning. Promoting the agency of the pupil empowers students to identify their own strengths and weaknesses and find satisfaction and reward in the process of improvement.
