Jack is very knowledgeable and has a great depth of understanding of Maths. He is a great teacher and my son finds the sessions really helpful in building his confidence and problem solving skills. Jack is very punctual and excellent at communicating between sessions. We are planning to work with Jack to support A level Maths and further Maths.

My daughter has got on really well with Jack as her tutor. She is dyslexic and struggles hugely with academic work. Jack has a very calm and encouraging manner and, in my daughters words, explains things in a way that she understands. I would highly recommend him as a tutor

Jack has now given my son a number of A-Level Maths tuition sessions over the last few weeks in prep for his A-Level this year. Jack is prompt and reliable always keeping us informed of progress etc. My son has only positive feedback on his sessions with Jack, highlighting Jacks knowledge and clear way of explaining the subject areas.

Jack is an outstanding tutor. He tutored my daughter for her GCSE maths after she missed a significant amount of schooling due to chronic illness. He was patient, kind and encouraging and helped Caitlin develop her confidence and ability in maths. He perfectly matched her learning needs to the tuition he provided and she made very quick progress under his guidance. She achieved a grade 8 in her GCSE maths and it's unlikely that she would have achieved this without Jack's expert teaching.

Jack has been tutoring my daughter for nearly 18 months and she really enjoys her lessons with him. Since starting, her maths grades have improved, but more importantly her confidence in the subject has also grown, which is great to see and something her school teachers have commented on. Jack explains topics thoroughly, in a way she understands and he's been happy to help her with some Physics work too. Would definitely recommend his tutoring services.

Jack is an excellent tutor. He has been teaching my 2 sons for 2 years for a secondary school. Both of my sons who are sporty and active are very happy with his teaching style and his calm demeanour. They always say his teaching is much easier to understand than their school teachers at the grammar school they both attend. He is highly recommended.

Jack is such a lovely tutor, my daughter had her first session with him yesterday and she was really pleased with how it went. She is in year 10 and certain topics covered at school she has struggled with, Jack has gone through this with her and explained it in such a way she has picked it up straight away and he has also given her the self believe that she can do it. After just one session she has come away feeling really confident that with Jack's help she can achieve the GCSE grade she requires.

Jack is able to make me understand certain topics and be able to use them to solve problems better than any teacher i had in secondary school, he has an unique approach which is personally for me very effective and the fact that he is able to send you the notes from the lesson afters and that he uses questions to help but he also challenges you to try the harder ones to make sure that you’ve got the concept! would recommend very highly

Jack is an excellent Maths tutor. The concepts which I found difficult to grasp before are now easy to understand because he explains things clearly. He has explained things in a much better way that other teachers don't. I've been surprised at how much I actually like Algebra after my sessions with Jack when before, I was afraid of it.
Unlike other Math teachers I had before, he is patient and very understanding. I don't feel anxious to ask him any questions. Jack also doesn't waste any time and he also spends a little more time if needed to explain further if I don't understand something. I am so grateful for the extra time he gives me in my lessons to ensure that my progress is not compromised. He is very kind and passionate about the subject he is teaching. I highly recommend Jack! He is one of the best teachers I have ever had!

Jack is an incredible teacher, explains things very clearly and is very patient. Only had 2 lessons so far but I feel I’ve picked it up quite quickly thanks to Jack’s tricks and tips on the guitar. Highly highly recommended!

Jack has been the perfect tutor for my 17 year old son. He is good at quietly focusing him and helping with aspects of A level Maths he needed to work on.

Jack is a fabulous and patient guitar teacher to our eleven year old son. He's preparing him for his grade 5 electric guitar exam which is going very well with our son making great progress. Oscar always looks for to Jack's lessons and we are delighted to have him as our teacher. His guitar playing skills are an huge inspiration to Oscar. I would highly recommend Jack.

Excellent guitar teacher. Jack definitely found the right balance between teaching new bits of a song and letting me practise/commit to memory. Lessons were structured nicely to include a brief revisit to last week's song, teaching of the new song and some practise. If you're looking to pick up guitar at a good pace I'd definitely recommend Jack.

Jack tutored my fifteen year old son twice a week for almost a complete school year (September to beginning of June). Maths had always been a difficulty for my son, and his school maths teacher had predicted a grade 2 (old grade E) in his GCSE. He was to take his maths GCSE in May/June 2017 with the new maths exams and grading implemented, which added to the pressure.

Jack is very personable, polite and calming and my son enjoyed his tutor lessons, each week feeling a little more confident in maths. Jack hugely boosted my son's overall confidence in maths (which was previously non existent), his ability to contribute in school lessons and advised him on how to approach exams and gain the most marks with each question.

My son passed his maths GCSE with a grade 4 (old grade C). Considering the mental block and anxiety he had over maths this is an incredible result, and it meant that he was then able to progress to college and begin his chosen courses.

I would completely recommend Jack to anyone looking for private tutoring.

Jack was extremely reliable, always turning up on time and consistently communicating with me to make sure we both knew when our next session was, as well as asking me what topics I wanted to cover so he could prepare material. During the sessions, he would always make sure that I understood what we'd been covering and I felt at ease to let him know when I was having any difficulties. He was very calm and approachable and easy to talk to. He not only helped me improve my grades drastically, but helped me do it at my own pace in a very encouraging way. I had not done further mathematics before starting university and a lot of further maths was in the maths module of my engineering course. I contacted Jack as I was struggling with my lecturers style of teaching as he didn't explain things well and with it being a completely new branch of mathematics I was worried I would not pass my exam.
Jack made the topics easy to understand and explained the various methods for each question thoroughly, which enabled me to gain a strong understanding. So pleased I picked Jack as my tutor, I am now as confident about further maths as I was about normal A level Maths. I don't think I would have passed my exam without it him!
