Jackie is helping my son catch up on his Japanese degree course after falling behind due to anxiety. He is finding the tutorials very helpful. She is very knowledgable and has a lot of helpful resources. She was also very helpful and accommodating when I first made contact. She is very organised and easy to deal with.

Had my first lesson with Jackie,
She is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Jackie makes you feel comfortable and encourages you to just have a go! She listened to what I was looking for as a beginner and tailored the lesson accordingly. I’m an adult casual learner so I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can in a relaxed manner.

My daughter has started having Japanese lessons with Jackie and plans to take the iGCSE. She is is a very shy person and was not sure about lessons online but Jackie has made her feel comfortable and at ease. She really enjoys the classes and is looking forward to the next one :-) Thankyou Jackie, we are glad we found you.

We found Jackie to help my son with his Japanese GCSE and so far she has been excellent. My son is enjoying his lessons and is feeling more confident about his exams now . Jackie is always prompt and very professional.

I am delighted with my first Japanese lesson with Jackie. She is very friendly, patient and provided a relaxed atmosphere which was great. I very much look forward to our future lessons and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a language tutor!

On our first meeting, Jackie listened carefully to my previous experience in the topic and was able to quickly pull up some material at the right level which helped me remember what I had already covered but also give me new things to learn. I found that Jackie was very approachable and easy to deal with remotely. She also appeared to have a wider understanding of the topic she was teaching and used that to augment the lesson. I am looking forward to my next lesson next week.

Jackie is a great tutor - polite and understanding of my dyslexia. She has signposted/provided good additional resources and after only 4 lessons I feel like I am making good progress.

Jackie was very responsive and helpful when organising to start our tutoring, she was clear to understand and provided very useful spreadsheets for memorising hiragana. I am greatly looking forward to continuing learning Japanese from her and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn another language- whether a beginner or more advanced!

I am now a month into my Japanese lessons and am really enjoying it. The lessons are fun and I feel really motivated.

I had my first session with Jackie this evening, and I can tell I am going to absolutely love my Japanese lessons each week, and really look forward to them. She makes learning a language fun, and as an adult wanting to learn casually as a hobby she is a great tutor. A mix of resources are used to ensure a variety in the lesson, and Jackie can adapt to different ways of learning. I look forward to my future lessons!

Jackie has a great approach to teaching. All by zoom video, my 14 year old son is enjoying his Japanese lessons. The sessions are structured well and are interesting. Only a few lessons in, he seems to be engaged with the sessions. We are hoping he’ll take a GCSE qualification in a couple of years.

Jackie is an excellent tutor and I'd highly recommend her services to others. I had a small amount of Japanese prior to starting and she was happy to be flexible in the lesson to accommodate this, letting me move at my own pace. Her lessons are varied and make use of various good quality resources which makes them interesting and fun.

Ive been really enjoying my japanese lessons with jackie! She is easy to talk to and explains things very well (such as grammar and culture) Ive had three lessons so far and feel that ive learnt so much already!

I had my lesson with jackie today. She made it simple to understand and interesting. If things where not said rigjt she helped with a better understanding.They was enough content for the lesson and it was very structured, as you get a little insight to your next lesson as well which is nice. Jackie is a lovely person and I cant wait for my next lesson.

Jackie is a very warm welcoming and easy going teacher that has introduced me into all things Japanese. Jackie is an excellent teacher. Her experience and knowledge about Japan as a country, as well as her advanced skill with the language, is very apparent and it's encouraging to see as a student.
No question is too silly for her to answer, and she happily explains certain language semantics and tricks to enable a good understanding of it, not just the ability to parrot it.
Laslty, Jackie's lessons are well rounded to suit reading, writing, speaking and listening in a balance that suits your goals. and she is able to tailor it all to your skill level as she teaches. I would highly recommend her and I look forward to the next lesson!

Jackie is easy to talk to and has already helpped me by explaining things that comes from experience and isnt covered in books i have tried to learn from. The lesson was structured so that i as a beginner am able to grasp the basics first. I look forward to learning more.

Jackie is absolutely lovely, very friendly and makes learning a language quite fun! I have found Jackie very patient, happy to explain the same thing several times until I understand. I like the mixed style of learning too. Since visiting Jackie I am the the most mtovated I have ever been to learn a language.

Jackie stepped in when my daughter was struggling with Japanese 'A' level. She was really helpful: my daughter passed her exam and went on to study Oriental languages at University. Thank you, Jackie!

I have been learning german for around 4 or 5 weeks and every minute has been fantastic I started off knowing very little and having just spent the last week in Germany with my family I found my self understanding more! Jackie’s approach is very good I don’t generally see myself as a fast learning and often have struggled in previous studies and Jackie always finds a way to cater and to help me learn the best I possibly can. I hope to continue my learning over the coming months to fulfill my long term goal of living in Germany with family and many friends I have made over the years. I still have a long way to go and combined with my learning with Jackie and my frequent trips to the country I feel as though I can do it!

From first contact to first lesson I found Jackie very easy to communicate with and created a good atmosphere to learn. I look forward to continuing my tuition.

I started learning German with Jackie a few weeks ago. Jackies approach to teaching is fantastic. She is so patient, and has various different ways of teaching. Fun games which make lessons extreamly fun also. Jackie is a lovely genuine person who always makes me feel so welcome. I feel very lucky to of found a great teacher who i feel extreamley at ease with also. Jackie is so talented and so informative and is so very positive and passionate about learning languages. I myself feel so much more positive about my lessons now than i ever did before. I Always look forward to my lessons with Jackie. Would recommend her to anyone! X

Jackie did a great job picking up from a previous tutor and getting my son back on track with his GCSE which he got an A in. Subsequently he continued working with Jackie and has now decided to pursue Japanese at university. I know he enjoyed the lessons, which were done on Skype, and I would have no hesitation in rcommending Jackie as a personal tutor.

Jackie is great Japanese tutor. My daughter has had a few lessons and already she has improved. Jackie also adds culture to her lessons to make it more all rounded lesson. Recommended!

Jackie is very warm and friendly and makes learning the German language fun. She teaches at your own pace and I have improved in just a few weeks. She has a wealth of resources available to support her own extensive knowledge of the culture as well as the language.

My son Sam has had a few lessons with Jackie in both French and German and he has throughly enjoyed them. Jackie has reviwed the work Sam has done at school and used this as a focus for the 1:1 tutition. Sam's confidence in his languages has improved enormously already. Would highly recommend

Arranging our first lesson was a very easy process and Jackie was very easy contactable.
The first lesson went very well and Jackie was very understanding when both myself and my boyfriend were a little late due to traffic. The lessons included a information on Japanese culture as well as the language learning. We are both really looking forward to continuing our lessons in the coming weeks.

Jackie has taught me for a few months and I think I've already progressed and my interest in Japan has only grown. I love coming to lessons, Jackie is always friendly, kind and passionate towards teaching. She is very flexible and accommodating, and her excellent knowledge and understanding of the Japanese language makes her an amazing teacher. Jackie is working with my son Jack on A Level Japanese. She's knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic, and making great progress with Jack. Jackie has been very flexible in her dealings with us which has helped to get thinks started quickly.

Most importantly my son is enjoying the lessons, and maintaining his enthusiasm for the language. I think we have been very lucky to find Jackie and we are hoping for great results!
