Hi! My name is Jacklin. I was born in Verona to Nigerian parents, but before my first birthday, I moved to Piacenza, where I spent the most formative years of my life. It was there that my passion for European literature, philosophy, and modern history was born.
At the age of 19, I moved to Lancaster to study Political Science and International Relations, further deepening my interest in the humanities and modern history. I then built upon this foundation with a Master's in Defence, Development, and Diplomacy at Durham University. Now, I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne, a city I proudly call home, where I have established both my career and my roots.
My education and multicultural upbringing have shaped me into a highly adaptable individual, a quality I consider essential for engaging with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
During my undergraduate studies at Lancaster University, I gained valuable experience by offering language lessons to fellow students as part of a Student Union initiative aimed at promoting cultural diversity on campus.
My teaching approach blends practical language use, fostering communication in everyday situations, with a structured focus on formal grammar.
