I am a former Head of Languages in an outstanding school and can offer French and English at Both KS 3 and 4 as well as German and RE at KS3- I have been teaching for 42 years. I am encouraging to all my students and love my job. I am available for home tuition in the Lytham and St Annes area.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught French English and German for 42 years and RE for 10- I am most familiar with the demands of the AQA Exam Board and was an exam marker for French for 15 years. I pride myself in the really positive rapport I can build up with my students. They have warmed to me and trusted me to ensure maximum learning. I also was given a teaching award- Most Inspirational Teacher in my school- and that was a high point.

Tutoring Approach

I have tutored early on in my career and often take students on a one-to-one basis. My approach would be to value the individual child, find out where their problems or anxieties lie and work hard to gain their trust and encourage them as much as possible. The fact that tutoring is being considered means that confidence in the subject may be low and therefore positive encouragement will be needed. Hopefully I can communicate my love for the subject to them and help them fulfil their maximum potential.
