Hi, my name is Jacqueline. I live in Bishop's Stortford. I graduated from York University with an Honours Degree in Sociology. I then gained a PGCE from Liverpool University. I currently teach A Level Sociology and have also taught History and Geography to GCSE level. I love being a teacher and both of my children have followed me into the profession.
I have been teaching for over 25 years and I am currently Head of Social Sciences and subject leader for Sociology at the John Henry Newman School in Stevenage, where I have taught since 2005. I get excellent results and in 2017 achieved 100% pass rate for A Level Sociology with 60% of students gaining A*, A or B grades. I also spent many years teaching in London and I feel confident in my ability to meet the needs of all students.
I will tutor according to your needs. I have an excellent subject knowledge, I am hardworking and well organised. My students enjoy Sociology immensely and many of them have chosen to continue studying it at University. I will help students to develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their A level Sociology exams.
