I'm an enthusiastic science teacher in Manningtree who is passionate about helping students reach their full potential! Studying and learning is an absolute passion of mine and I strive to help others find a love of learning, too.
Learning is a life-long craft. I completed my BSc Chemistry at Nottingham and graduated with first class honours, completing my teaching qualification with the University of East Anglia and graded as 'Outstanding', and I have just passed (with Merit) my MSc in Teaching and Learning at the University of Oxford, the number 1 university in the world.
I have been a teacher for 7 years now, teaching in secondary schools in Colchester up to GCSE and A level. I have tutored throughout this time as well, helping numerous students achieve top grades. Now I run my own Chemistry department at a leading independent school.
I am also an Examiner for both AQA and Pearson Edexcel exam boards. This means I know how to apply mark schemes perfectly, and I will be able to tailor my advice and tutoring for students to write exactly what is needed in exams to achieve the very top grades.
My tutoring approach is very much student centred. I am a huge advocate of educational research, and I use approaches that are at the forefront of education and helping students improve.
I'll be able to teach you not just the subject content, but also how to improve your memory and retention skills and make you a better learner for the future.
