Jan is truly excellent!!!

For some context, I was a final-year law student studying the dreaded Equity and Trusts module. Jan not only expertly broke down the module content for me, but she also tailored it to my specific learning style.

Throughout our sessions, Jan would always go above and beyond to create a safe space for learning and questioning all the content she taught.

I truly would recommend Jan to all students wishing to not just ace their exams (like I did through her help), but also gain further knowledge beyond the curriculum of the topic/ subjects they are studying.

I cannot recommend Jan enough. She is not only the kindest person ever , her way of teaching is incredible and does anything she can to help you even after tutor lessons. I have really struggled with a certain topic in Law at University and for the past 5 weeks Jan has helped me through it and boosted my confidence and I actually really looked forward to our lessons and left each one more and more confident on the topic. Thank you Jan for everything and I will be starting again within the next semester as I know she’ll help me succeed.

My son loves working with Jan. She's friendly, nurturing and provides a teaching experience tailored to his learning style which is an approach that's rare to find but so incredibly effective. She keeps in touch and suggests additional activities/reading outside of lessons too which is a nice touch. Jan was great when I first got in contact with her in terms of reassuring me about her style but also understanding parental anxiety around academic issues. I cannot recommend Jan highly enough.

really appalling when it comes to communication, this tutor should not be trusted if you have exams coming up soon.

I find it very strange that Zain should respond like this.

Zain contacted me in April and we agreed to start lessons. I had to chase him for a start date. Indeed on 16th April was "Hi Zain, I just came to send you a chase up email, just to realise that my email yesterday was still in drafts! So sorry! Shall we start on Monday?". He did not reply and I did not hear a thing from him until last week a full three and a half months later.

It is not unreasonable for a tutor to take a break before the rush that comes with the new term. Indeed, aside from being rested after a hectic 10-11 months, I generally use August to update my notes and otherwise prepare for the next academic year. My student's appreciate my preparedness.

I have been tutoring since 1999 and have an excellent reputation, I am very well-known and well-respected, not only because of the outstanding results my students achieve but in the way that I coach them when the rigours of study are overwhelming. I have high expectations of both myself and my students and this will continue to serve me well.

Finally, whilst I am unable to tutor this student, I wish him well with his exam preparation and his future career.

I was tutored by Jan when I was doing my Graduate Diploma in Law. I was working full-time and a mum, so, I was finding it a bit of a challenge. I also found some of the legal concepts very difficult to understand.

I tried 3 tutors before I found Jan. After my first lesson with Jan, I knew I’d found an amazing tutor. She explained the concepts in a way that was very easy to understand and lessons were informative and fun. She produces fantastic notes for students and is the most knowledgeable tutor I've met and always professional. I couldn’t believe that I finished at the top of my class! Without Jan this would not have been likely.

Last year when I began working to get my son prepared for his entrance tests, I approached Jan, who was only happy to help and I can report that from being his worst subject, English is now his favourite and he has received several awards for his work.

Jan is first class. She’s patient and very good at giving examples to help you completely understand. If you want to do well, she'll help you achieve the best possible grades. I have recommended her to all my friends and family.
