Jan has tutored my daughter once a week for several months for her English GCSE. Jan has been enthusiastic and very helpful. My daughter has really enjoyed working with her. I would highly recommend Jan as she is both knowledgeable and passionate particularly about Literature which my daughter was really struggling with. I note that Jan also interested in some of my own passions The Lord of the Rings and Doctor Who as I have heard these referred to during her teaching when trying to explain concepts in poetry, so I have even more regard for her!

Jan is our 11 year old son's first tutor and he wasn't keen on having one in the first place. Jan is great, we've had three sessions so far and already my son came home Friday just gone with a star pupil reward… His confidence and attitude towards maths has already changed in such a short period of time and talking to him he feels that jan has a great deal to do with this. I feel that jan is able to talk things through and give explanations to problems in a way the student can understand and Taylor her teaching skills individually which is just what my son needed. I would highly reccomend jan to anyone.
