I qualified as a secondary school Maths Teacher in 2016 and have been working with young people since 2012. I hold an additional qualification in SEN, specifically autism and also have a Law LLB degree.
I’ve worked in schools since 2012 and have privately tutored for 10 years (& counting). This has been for a wide range of students supporting with entrance exams, GCSE’s and general homework and classwork guidance.
Working collectively at a variety of schools has contributed to giving me a clear understanding of the curriculum and what makes effective teaching. I have supported and witnessed different approaches to teaching methods to varying pupils' needs. Learning styles should be differentiated to ensure work is set at an appropriate but challenging level to cater for all learners.
I believe each child has a unique personality with individual needs to be met. I truly go above and beyond to use my initiative to understand a child's individuality and what makes them enjoy learning.
I pride myself on having great relationship with students. I’m friendly, supportive and have clear boundaries which in my opinion make for effective teaching.
