I am a qualified teacher and tutor of Psychology, with over ten years experience of teaching Psychology at AS and A level, together with a degree and an MSc in Psychological Research Methods. I have a detailed understanding of the main A level specifications, particularly AQA and am committed to helping students maximise their exam grades. I am a member of the British Psychological Society and enjoy ensuring my knowledge of the subject is up to date. I love to share my passion for Psychology with others and have seen many of my former students go on to study the subject at University.
I have over ten years experience of teaching AS and A level Psychology to year 12 and 13 students as well as several years experience of tutoring students on an individual basis. During that time I have taught all aspects of the AQA specification which is the main one followed in England and Wales.
I would aim to tailor my tutoring to the needs of the tutee, as identified by discussion with them prior to the initial session and then at the end of each session. This will allow me to plan each session in advance and prepare the necessary resources. I would, of course, ensure that the learning objectives for each session relate clearly to the specification being followed. I would provide plenty of past exam questions for students to practice on and provide detailed feedback to students on their answers.
