Jason

My name is Jason, I am a passionate Maths Tutor from Nuneaton with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the GCSE and A level mathematics syllabus.

I am a graduate from the University of Manchester , I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and have A levels in Mathematics, Chemistry and Geography. I am very excited to start my teaching career at the Nuneaton Academy coming September.

Tutoring Experience

Over 4 years of tutoring experience.
I have been doing face to face and online tutoring for over four year. All of my students improve their grades after tutoring with me; some even increase their grades by 3 level. As someone that has been tutoring for over 4 years, I am confident in my ability to make a difference.

At University of Manchester, I was appointed as a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) leader where I tutored first year university student for 2 academic years
With PASS, I tutored a group of 10 first year university students and helped them understand and solve complex course-related problems.
Before the exam season, I held weekly meetings and went over exam problems, tutorial videos, past papers and various revision techniques.
I specialised in helping students with low levels of confidence and self esteem to help them succeed and gain the results that they want.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring style is to provide a safe learning environment for my students where I guide students understanding , rather than just give them an answer. I am aware that my students are under enormous amount of pressure from school so it my responsibility as a tutor to be calm and patience with my students and help them succeed through encouragement.
