¡Buenas! I'm a native Spanish speaker with a degree in Journalism. Originally from the south of Spain, I have been living in England for over a decade now. I’m passionate about traveling, reading, and staying active.
I have been teaching languages for over 6 years, primarily focusing on Spanish (KS3, GCSE, and A-Level), but I have also taught KS3 French. Additionally, I have experience as a GCSE examiner for AQA (both Writing and Speaking papers) and have contributed to developing Spanish resources for Pearson, specifically for the Edexcel and AQA specifications.
I have extensive experience tutoring Spanish students, tailoring lessons to improve specific skills—whether for GCSE practice or general purposes for KS3 students.
The first session will be a chat with the student, checking their existing knowledge of Spanish and setting objectives for our sessions. I have substantial experience helping GCSE students achieve the results they need, whether they are aiming for the Foundation or Higher levels. I’m also up-to-date with the new specifications for both AQA and Edexcel, which are set to change for the 2025/2026 course.
Regarding A Level Spanish, I have experience helping students get ready for their Independent Research Project and I have lead their Speaking assessments in two occassions. and I have led Speaking assessments on two occasions. I also have experience with the literary text 'La Casa de Bernarda Alba' and the film 'El Laberinto del Fauno', having prepared resources and delivered lessons based on these materials.
