Hello,
I am from France and until recently, I've been teaching modern languages in a high school in England. I started training as a teacher in 2009 and gained QTS in 2010; therefore I have seven years' experience in the classroom. My husband and I relocated to Northern Ireland to be closer to his family.
I am a very enthusiastic person with a good sense of humour and make lessons as enjoyable as possible, catering to each student's individual needs.
I have taught across the full range of secondary education up to A-level in French and up to GCSE in Spanish.
I also have extensive experience giving private tuition sessions in French and Spanish to a wide range of ages, from children from the age of 8 up to adults; and at all levels including beginners, preparation for GCSE and A Level exams, and university level.
As a teacher dealing with a class or an individual learner, my approach is one of patience and flexibility. I enjoy planning effective, engaging and fun lessons which are tailor-made for my students. I strongly believe that one-to-one sessions can deliver real results for all types of learners due to the focus on the individual learning needs and styles. For pupils studying for GCSE and A level examinations, I adapt my lessons to suit the particular skills and assessment criteria of the exam board to ensure everything we do is directed at improving grades and confidence of the learner.
