I am a reliable private tutor, who is London-based. I have been tutoring for over nine years now and have grown a large clientele. I specialize in a range of subjects.

I myself went though the 11+ process and have helped many students from different backgrounds to also pass their entrance exams for their chosen schools. I tutor as I love seeing students succeed, thrive, and gain confidence and I like to see this as a way of motivating and guiding the next generation. To be more intuitive, and confident in their abilities.

My tutoring is unique to my students. I like to understand how my students best benefit from my way of tutoring. That is why my one-to-one sessions are so popular, as I take the time out to understand each student and communicate with them in regards to their abilities and their strengths and weaknesses.

Students see me not only as a tutor but as someone who has gone through this process of education and can give them advice and support. I have found from my own experience a tutor can make or break a subject.

When I was studying for my 11+, I applied for Cheadle Hulme Grammer, Manchester High School for Girls, Stockport Grammar School, Hillcrest Grammer, St Bedes, and Withington and I was able to pass all of them. My students have passed their 11+ exams for their chosen schools, some receiving scholarships and honour programs and all my GCSE students have achieved the grades they aimed for.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring now for over nine years, and my students have previously passed their 11+ exams for Stockport Grammar School, Cheadle Hulme Grammar School, Kings in Macclesfield, Bolton Grammar, Manchester High School for girls and boys, and Withington Grammar.

Additionally, I have helped students achieve their goals in the grades they wanted to achieve across their GCSE's. I have helped many students jump multiple grades up above their predicted.

I am proud to say that I have students who sometimes stay with me for years and others who come back, potentially with their siblings joining.

Tutoring Approach

I like to analyze the students' abilities before I start working with them. Finding their strengths and weaknesses. Working with more visual aids I find is very important, so power points and colored notes are a plus.

I like to use the modern resources we have at our fingertips, including videos, YT, tick-tock, apps, and more. Learning has come much further than books, we should utilise a variety of sources of education, new and old. I am always open to broadening my horizon, I don't want students to only receive good grades, but to also enjoy the subject.

I like to be in step with my students, I want them to feel comfortable talking to me and letting me know if they don't understand something. Learning is a two way street, I equally learn from my students and can improve my methods. I also like to keep the parents in the loop. I feel that with young students to keep them engaged in the subject we need to do different activities and also make sure the student does not feel like he/she is not progressing. Every achievement no matter how small, is still an achievement. Sucess should be measured in more than grades and marks.

Everyone learns in different ways. Which is why I am very patient and understanding with my students. I work my students hard and make the lessons worthwhile, but I always make sure that they enjoy the lesson and don't even realize that the knowledge is sinking in. The best thing for a tutor is to help the students find a passion for learning.
