I am passionate about education and I love the logic of Chemistry. I enjoy unpicking the misconceptions students have about the subject and enabling them to have lightbulb moments!
I have two teenage sons and I understand the challenges and pressures of the education system. Along with my extensive teaching experience and personal skills I am able to help students feel confident about their ability to be successful in Chemistry.
I have been teaching Science and Chemistry for over thirty years. I have been a Head of Chemistry and Head of Science during my career, as well as holding other management roles in schools. However, it is the excitement of helping young people understand the patterns and logic of Chemistry that I most enjoy.
I have taught in many settings - challenging secondary schools, highly selective independent schools and sixth form colleges. This demonstrates my ability to communicate to young people at all levels.
I help students see the patterns and logic in Chemistry and to apply their knowledge to exam questions. I have lots of tricks to help remember any rules that need to be applied in Chemistry and help students to feel confident in their own ability so that they can enter the exam and do their best.
