I am friendly and positive with an in-depth knowledge of the subject. I have worked at Guy's Hospital Medical School and gained extensive teaching experience at secondary level. I specialise in teaching A-level / IB Chemistry and help students with the transition between GCSE to AS- level and achieve the necessary grades for a university place in particular.
I do not travel for tuition. I am registered as an Online Tutor with the National Tutoring Programme
My speciality is teaching A Level / IB Chemistry. I have been a marker for OCR and AQA A-level Chemistry and GCSE Physics. I have an in-depth understanding of their requirements. I have taught GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths for nearly 35 years in secondary schools around Chelmsford including a local grammar school. I have tutored privately in the past 15 years and have helped students achieve their full potential. I am now retired from teaching in schools so have more time for private tuition.
My approach is to ‘take sides’ with you, helping to focus on your weaknesses and overcome any misunderstandings. I can provide all the assessment materials and learning resources to suit your needs. I also offer revision courses in the holidays if you preferred to work on your exam technique closer to the time of examination. I can tutor online using Skype or Microsoft Teams.
