Very good tutor. Is helping my daughter get a better grasp of her A level maths syllabus. He is very good at breaking down concepts and explaining them allowing her to have a much deeper understanding which in turn is leading to an improvement in her marks.

John is really nice and a great tutor, who is supportive, gives clear explanations with the use of alternative methods best tailored to my learning ability. Once again, thank you John!

John tutored my daughter Cassie for five months (2019) for gcse Maths. Cassie found John's tuition to be extremely helpful. He identified areas of the curriculum which she found difficult and worked through them with her, setting homework and checking her progress the following week.

She progressed to practise papers which he marked during the week and went through at the next lesson. She achieved a grade 6 which is what she was hoping to get for her college application.

We found John to be very professional with a good knowledge of the requirements for gcse and excellent communication skills.

We would recommend him as a tutor.

John has been an excellent Tutor for our son. He was well organised and reliable, planning the lessons to maximise the time and cover the topics that were most crucial. Our son benefited enormously in confidence and knowledge and went into his exams feeling positive and well-prepared to deal with the papers.

Great tutor. Cheap prices. John showed lots of alternate methods for working out certain sums and could immediately recognise which methods were right for me. Very helpful and patient. I'd certainly recommended John as a tutor.

John was a massive help to me while I was studying for my GCSE maths and I would not have got the grade I did without this help. He was very easy to work with and greatly increased my confidence. He quickly realised where my weak spots were and helped me address these.

Very friendly and helpful also very knowledgeable.

John has been tutoring my son in A Level Maths and it has boosted both my son's confidence and his grades. I would highly recommend him.

John has been helping my daughter work towards her Maths GCSE since January. Maths is a subject that Lucy struggles with and John has been unendingly patient. He is happy to explain things in as many ways as is necessary until she understands the concept of the subject they are working on. He is calm, kind and cheerful. His lessons are really well structured and delivered. Appropriate homework is given and marked; feed back is always given and problem areas worked through. He is keen to mark any past papers she has done and responds accordingly in the work they do together.
Lucy is happy to email him if she is not sure about anything and he responds incredibly quickly. In short he's a terrific tutor and have no hesitation in recommending him incredibly highly.

John has been tutoring my son for several months. He is an excellent tutor and has been of great assistance to my son who can lack confidence in maths. John is always well-prepared and punctual. But he is also willing to adapt lessons to meet learning needs. He is hugely experienced and so can always suggest a way of doing things to keep his student engaged. I would highly recommend him to others.

John has been tutoring my daughter for 6 months now and it has increased her confidence in her abilities. He is committed approachable and an excellent teacher. My daughter is now aiming high and if she achieves her A* GCSE it will be in no small part due to the help and enthusiasm John has given her. They work through areas of the curriculum she has weaknesses in and he sets her work and he responds via email to work she struggles with in her usual class. I highly recommend him as a tutor.

Martyn has found the tutorials very useful and seems to have a better understanding of mechanics than he did previously, although he is never going to find it an easy topic. I have been really impressed with the amount of time John has put into helping Martyn,sending follow up emails and homework either the same afternoon or early next morning. Martyn being able to email any problems he had when doing the homework and getting a prompt reply was also above and beyond what we expected and just great. The offer to mark any past papers that Martyn may do between his last tutorial and his exam was very much appreciated and I only wish Martyn had made use of this. Would highly recommend John to anyone needing help.

John is absolutely amazing as a tutor. He has gone way beyond my expectations helping my son Tom with his maths GCSE revision. I would highly recommend John, he is incredibly patient and Tom has said the way he explains things is really clear.
