I am a stipendiary lecturer in applied maths at the University of Oxford, where I have recently completed my PhD (DPhil) in maths. I have 8 years of experience tutoring maths and can do so in person or online. I completed my undergraduate and masters in Mathematics at Cambridge university attaining a distinction.
I have experience teaching at all levels, and helping with Oxbridge applications. I have tutored for the MAT and STEP admissions tests and have tutored all of the modules in Maths A level. I have marked the MAT and STEP papers for Oxford and Cambridge respectively. And also have experience teaching the undergraduate mathematicians at Oxford from first, second, third and fourth year.
One size doesn't fit all in teaching, finding the best way to engage students with mathematics and push them beyond what they think is possible, is what keeps this fun on my side! What keeps it fun on the student side are the new ways of thinking we will develop and a new appreciation for this wonderful subject I endeavour to inspire.
