Hi, my name is Jonathan and I’m currently studying Mathematics MMath degree at the University of Bath. My hobbies include playing football, fitness activities and playing instruments. I’m also multilingual, including English, Spanish, French and more.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a mentor for EAL and a MFL language assistant in school.

I really enjoy Maths and have personally seen a lot of progress through hard-work and passion for the subject. I firmly believe these are fundamental to achieve your goals and I would like to prove it to you.

Tutoring Approach

I believe it’s essential to first identify what the student finds challenging in relation to the content in the curriculum and/or the format of their exams, this would be in some sort of short base assessment. I would then engage the student in a discussion to get an idea of how they approach and tackle problems. This would allow me to tailor my teaching method to suit them as accurately as possible. Although to be general, the student should choose any section of their curriculum (and inform me in advance), for which I would have a lesson prepared, followed by some questions to test their understanding. After at least one session, there would also be a mixed starter activity based on previous content covered with me.

Please note, I’m also offering to tutor further maths students at a price of £20 per hour.
