Hi! I'm Joseph, a qualified teacher based in Oxford, with a first class Masters in Physics from Cambridge University. I have always excelled at maths and science, qualifying as a reserve for the UK International Physics Olympiad team (top 7 in the country) and for BMO2 (top 100 in the country for maths). Combining a deep understanding of my subject with eight years of teaching experience, I enjoy helping students grasp and apply concepts for themselves, enabling them not only to excel in exams, but to master and enjoy the subject as well.

Tutoring Experience

In addition to my experience as a tutor, I am a qualified teacher with eight years teaching experience in the UK and internationally. I have taught physics up to A level, and maths, physics, and chemistry up to AP level (the US equivalent of A level).

Tutoring Approach

I am flexible and tailor my approach to the needs of my students, typically combining a mixture of exam questions coaching with explicit teaching on areas students find difficult. By developing a thorough understanding of the subject as well as familiarity with exam questions and exam technique, I aim to help students grasp their subject in a way that makes sense to them, enabling both enjoyment and success in their studies.
