Hello, I am a first year History and Politics student at Warwick University at home for my summer holidays. I am incredibly enthusiastic about the processes involved in modern political history and how young people can participate in them. The first step being, learning about them.
Though I dropped Biology after A Level I still retain an interest in it, keeping up to date with the New Scientist and the American Journal of Undergraduate Research; I have a particular interest in genetic modification.
I would love spread a passion for History, Politics and Biology to more young people.
In Year 13 I volunteered to teach several GCSE Biology classes and tutored GCSE history students who asked for help, for free.
Additionally, this election I have been involved in activism, both during the campaign and at the election count. This leaves me with knowledge to draw on in teaching A Level Politics.
Forward focused, centered around expanding the client's interest in the subject matter rather than forcing them to rote learn. This would involve reinforcing basic syllabus knowledge in an interesting and memorable way before building up to more advanced concepts.
Most importantly my approach is built on mutual respect.
