Hello!
I am a dedicated and experienced teacher of English as a foreign language.
I have worked as a head teacher and teacher trainer in China, Thailand and Japan, working with children aged as young as 1 year old all the way to adult learners. I thrive on seeing learners reach their goals, and unlock the exciting benefits of native taught English. I love to work with people of all ages and backgrounds in a way that is fun, engaging, and relevant.
For over five years I have worked in Asia as a teacher of English after obtaining my TEFL in 2015. During my time in China with Disney English, I also obtained my CELTA as well as training in teacher development and curriculum creation. This makes me adept at tailoring a personalised learning journey for my learners based on their needs and aspirations. I went on to work as a head teacher in an English school in Tokyo, where I was able to further strengthen my organisational and classroom based skills, making me ready and able to tackle whatever my face my students and I.
English should be fun and relevant. I love to find out what drives and motivates my students, and create a curriculum or approach that works best for them. The communicative approach is based on conversation and natural English use, which gives students the chance to speak often and find their own voice. This in turn produces confident and able English speakers. That's my goal!
