I’m relatively new to this platform but have 25 years of experience in teaching A levels and GCSE's to an excellent standard. As an AQA examiner and the Head of Social Sciences at a high-achieving school in North London, I have a proven track record of helping students achieve top grades in Psychology and Sociology. My students regularly achieve A*-B at A level and 8/9’s at GCSE. Our most recent results were absolutely stunning! My students nearly always hit their target grade and usually exceed them.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Degrees: BA in Psychology and History from Keele University, PGCE (fully qualified teacher status) and MA in Educational Leadership.
• Examiner: Experienced AQA examiner with in-depth knowledge of exam techniques and high-grade attainment.
• Leadership: Head of Social Sciences and former Head of Sixth Form, providing key insights into the exam system.
• Teaching: Ofsted Inspectors have observed me multiple times in the classroom and judged my teaching to be 'outstanding.' I’m also in charge of my Sixth Form’s teaching and learning strategy across all subjects.

I have taught and have experience with all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Eduqas. This broad experience allows me to tailor my tutoring to the specific requirements of each board.

I provide bespoke guides and a vast collection of past exam papers to prepare my tutees for success. My focus is on both exam technique and understanding syllabus content, ensuring students can apply their knowledge effectively.

I aim to make complex concepts and theories accessible, focusing on understanding terminology and applying their knowledge under exam conditions in an academically informed way.
