I live in the Notting Hill area of London. I enjoy walking in the countryside, reading, baking and Yoga. I am also a keen collector of fossils and minerals and have amassed a large collection of crystals and fossils. I also enjoy music and have a radio show on MixCloud specializing in classical, post classical and electronic music.
I initially trained at Central School of Speech & Drama in Swiss Cottage London, and am a qualified teacher with over 25 years experience of working with both KS 1 and KS 2 children both in State and Independent schools.
I have an extensive knowledge and resources of the Primary Curriculum as I continue to work in Primary Schools as a daily supply teacher which i enjoy very much.
I have recently completed a CELTA Course (Jun 2019) and am able to teach both beginners and intermediate.
I have a keen sense of humour which comes across in my teaching style. I like to encourage fun in my lessons and to paraphrase a famous quote - a lesson taught with humour is a lesson remembered. My first priority is to build rapport with the learner and ensure the learner feels comfortable at all times. Lessons are tailored to the learners individual need and they also dictate the pace of the lesson along with encouragement to ask questions. I guide them step by step through any difficulties they may encounter and foster a patient and calm atmosphere where the learner will feel confident enough to work out the solutions for themselves
