From the age of 3, I began travelling the world with my parents, living in countries such as Australia, India and Egypt, soaking up all the world had to offer. Although I still love travelling and experiencing different cultures I am a true Devon girl, the countryside and outdoors is my happy place. I now live on our family farm with my husband, two children and dog. Being a mum, teaching and farming give me so much pleasure I couldn't imagine life any other way!
I have 10 years experience of working in school, during that time, I was head of Geography, English and reading as well as teaching all primary aged year groups. I have working with children with varying needs and have learned to adapt my teaching and approach accordingly.
I am a calm, caring and patient person who loves helping children learn and achieve their full potential. From building a trusting and nurturing relationship with pupils, I am able to understand their needs and tailor my lessons accordingly. I believe in setting clear boundaries and expectations but understand the need for flexibility to suit a pupils learning style and character. Through careful and thought out planning I am able to help children make good academic progress and build their confidence.
