I am a fully qualified secondary Mathematics teacher and a positive and enthusiastic tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience. Currently I am second in department and Key Stage 4 at a school in North Bristol. I currently teach students aged 11 to 18 of various abilities and have tutored many students in different locations, including online and have always had positive feedback. I strongly believe, that with the right guidance, every student can succeed in Maths.
I have over 10 years experience teaching maths to students of various abilities in Sussex, London and Bristol, throughout all stages of secondary school. During this time I have taught both higher and foundation GCSE classes with students successfully reaching their target grades. Whether that was a 5 or a 9. Alongside teaching in a secondary school I have also, very successfully, tutored both GCSE and A-Level students. After my degree I completed a year long Mathematics Enhancement Course which is the equivalent of a first year Maths degree before completing my PGCE in Maths teaching.
I believe all students can reach their goal through patience and positivity. Students‘ only barriers are not believing in themselves, being afraid to fail and not reviewing the information they have learnt. I regularly go over topics previously taught and match these to what students are learning at school.
